Custard apple is believed to have originated in the Andes Mountains of South America and it can grow in tropical regions with high altitudes. It is believed that Inca tribes used to culture the Andes Mountains. It was introduced later in South Africa, India, Singapore, and Philippines.


Papaya is believed to have originated from Central America and specifically from Southern Mexico. It was cultivated in these areas before the arrival of Columbus and after the arrival of Europeans, papaya was introduced in different regions such as Australia, South Africa, Hawaii, Texas, California, Florida, Caribbean Islands and other tropical and subtropical regions of the world.
